- Issues with Their Adult Teeth Coming In
We recommend your child see a dentist by their first birthday or when their first tooth comes in, whichever happens first. That means that if your child is older than one or has at least one tooth and has still never seen a dentist, it’s time to go!
It’s always better to stay on top of health issues so you can prevent them from occurring in the first place, or at least treat them as soon as possible before they worsen. This is certainly the case when it comes to your child’s dental care! Unless otherwise instructed by their dentist, your child should go in for a routine dental appointment twice a year (just like you!).
Dental pain can signal a variety of issues, such as a cavity or an infection. Generally, the sooner a dental concern is treated, the better! So don’t wait for the pain to get worse. A dentist will have the experience and tools to determine what is causing the pain so they can create an appropriate treatment plan and help your child feel better. At Safari Children’s Dentistry & Braces, we offer same-day emergency dental care for children!
Maybe a permanent tooth hasn’t come in yet and it’s past the normal time when it should happen. Or an adult tooth is coming in but the baby tooth hasn’t been forced out. Whatever the case may be, it’s a good idea to consult our team so that we can address any orthodontic issues for your child early.
Is it time to schedule your child’s dental visit? Give us a call at Safari Children’s Dentistry & Braces! We would be happy to welcome your child into our inviting children’s dental office in San Antonio.
